Dying

Indigo (from a leguminous plant of the Indigofera genus), Cobalt, Roses, Turquoise and Coaquolicit from a market in Morocco are traditional forms of dying many kinds of artefacts. I tried adding it to liquid wax with unimpressive results. Wax can be easily coloured with custom dyes, wax crayons or even poster paint. The reason the pigments didn't work when used straight is because the dye needs to be soluble in wax, which in there natural form they are not.
